Nelly & the Mother Line

In her book, Nancy Boudrot Spear explores the history of her family’s roots by telling the story of 9 generations of her matrilineal line. To capture the history and essence of the book, we chose to feature one of her paintings from her time living in Nova Scotia for the cover. I also created a number of hand drawn maps to include in the book to give context to the story.
Emily is an excellent graphic designer and a pleasure to work with. I’ll definitely hire her for my next book cover. She’s a creative gem.
